NYC 62 MST 8.7.13 – New Policy on Monthly Dues

Your Member Success Tip this week has to do with the chapter’s new policy regarding our monthly breakfast dues.

On the last day of each month, the chapter’s accounting system automatically emails you an invoice for the coming month, and here’s a tip: I suggest that you set a filter that marks those email as important.

We used to have a soft policy on the lateness date, but now that invoice has a hard due date which is the 15th of the month. As of the 16th of the month, the new late fee of $25 will be assessed.

If for some reason, your invoice is not paid by the end of the month an additional late fee of $25 will be applied on the first of the next month and you will not be allowed to attend meetings until the balance is paid in full, with each of those missed meetings counting as an absence.

Here are 3 ways to ensure you pay on time:

1. You can pay cash or check at our meeting.

2. You can pay with a credit card or e-check online.

And here’s tip #2, if you are using the online payment system, make sure you continue all the way through until you get to the Thank You screen. A few members have abandoned the checkout process before getting to the last screen, and thus their payment is not applied. You should also get an email receipt immediately after the transaction that confirms your payment.

3. And yet another way to pay is to use the online system to set an auto-payment that will run each month, and thus you can set it and forget it.

It is my sincere hope that we will never collect a late fee again, and with your help, we can make this a reality.

If you have questions about any of this or would like assistance setting up the auto-payment, please let me know. I’m happy to help. Thank you.
