For the last 10 years, we’ve been extracting gold from our gold mines, but at some point the ore in one of our mines will be depleted and we’ll need to pivot.
To this end, this week I want to reminisce about how I was going to make more money through the investment I made in owning a system of pay phones that I bought in the mid 1990’s.
I thought it would be a nice passive income stream.
Little did I know that it was actually another job, going from restaurant to restaurant, and collecting the coins out of each machine, but that’s another story.
What I didn’t see coming was that cell phones were going ubiquitous and that my pay phones were going to be worthless in just a few years.
So how does that apply to Elevate?
Well, there will always be changes in the market.
The telegraph gives way to the telephone.
Train travel gives way to air travel.
And pay phones give way to cell phones.
And now we are at an inflection point due to the COVID Crisis with many offices being closed.
And since my office was closed, I didn’t want to go to the office each week to collect paper checks.
Early on in this crisis, I figured that many of my clients would be in a similar situation, so I started proactively contacting them to offer them an ecommerce solution that would allow them to get paid directly through their website.
And an ecommerce referral for me will always result in s referral for Ben Prusky for the processing account.
Remember, the beauty of Elevate is our members can help accelerate the growth of these line extensions for each other.
So your action item for the week is to start thinking about the additional services you can provide in the post COVID era, and then let your fellow members know who to refer you to, and I guarantee that you’ll definitely make more money.
