Make More Money: The Secret Is Helping People Redux

NYC Elevate is a million dollar per month, networking community organized to help our members make more money through structured collaboration and referrals.

And I want to revisit a topic that was discussed again in detail at our last Elevator Accelerator session, and because we have a lot of new members that might not know how to accelerate their growth in Elevate.

So please pay close attention because this is the most important thing that everyone here should understand and it should be the foundation of everything you do at Elevate.

Do you know most of us are networking the hard way?

Inviting guests is hard.

Giving referrals is hard.

Selling is hard.

Making money is hard.

All of these things are hard because we want something.

And these things are not only hard to do, they are hard on you psychologically when you feel like you’re not hitting your goals and getting the things you want.

But what if we could flip the script and make these things easy?

Every week we say Givers Gain, but what does that really mean?

Most of us think that means helping our fellow members, but the real secret sauce is that we should be helping people that are not members.

That is … our focus should be helping people that are not members.

What does that mean? How do we flip the script from hard to easy?

If we go through life wanting to help people grow their business at very low cost, you will have all the guests you ever wanted.

If we go through life wanting to help our friends, family, clients and colleagues solve their problems, we’ll be able to give all the referrals we ever want to give.

Notice the focus of networking at Elevate was outward helping non members.

And because we helped someone grow their business by introducing them to this networking event, Elevate and our members received the ancillary benefit of having a new person to network with and we may have gained a new member when they see how easy it is to grow their business here.

And because we provided our friends, family, clients and colleagues with introductions to people that could solve their problems, our members received the ancillary benefit of getting all the referrals they ever wanted.

In summary, flip the script.

Help people that want to grow their business by inviting them to network with us at this meeting.

Help people solve their problems, by introducing them to the members that can solve them.

If you do these two things and get people the help they need now

I guarantee that  you will get the help you need later in the form of referrals and I guarantee that you will you’ll make more money.
