NYC Elevate is a million dollar a month networking community organized to help our members make more money through structured collaboration and referrals.
Quite often, I’ve told you that we are sitting on a gold mine here at Elevate.
But many of us are only mining the top one inch of dirt.
The problem with that is that gold is heavy, and hard to get at, and that means that there are millions of dollars buried deeper below the surface.
If you stop your networking with your weekly commercial, a few 121s and you only count the direct referrals you get, you are only mining the top one inch of dirt, and your income here will be limited.
So I’d like to give you some additional ideas of how you can mine deeper and get more gold out of your Elevate mine.
I was talking to Brett Shiel last week. He told me that he was introduced to a collaborator by a fellow Elevator, but not the client, but here’s the rub: He could not have secured a $100,000 contract without the collaborator.
That is he could not have secured a $100,000 contract without the collaborator.
So is that closed business attributable to Elevate?
Here’s your simple test: Did the revenue happen because of a direct or indirect action here at Elevate?
If the answer is yes, like you were introduced to a collaborator and the only way you could have secured an account is with the collaborator, then that closed business is absolutely attributable to Elevate.
Here’s another example of digging deep for the gold:
50 of you here left me reviews on UpCity, and jump-started my rise into the top 1% of web firms in the USA. Without Elevate, I wouldn’t get any business from that site, so Elevate gets credit for all that business even though no one here is making the direct referrals.
And here’s an interesting stat.
I’m closing in on $10M in closed business in my 13 years at Elevate, but only 10% is from direct referrals.
The other 90% is from digging deeper like with jump starting my reviews on UpCity.
So remember this simple test: Did the revenue happen because of a direct or indirect action here at Elevate?
The bottom line: If you look for additional ways to mine gold and dig deeper at Elevate, I guarantee you’ll make more money.
