NYC Elevate is a networking community organized to help our members make more money through structured collaboration and referrals.
Recently we discussed that learning to network at the highest level, is kind of like learning how to solve a Rubik’s cube. We have to break it down step by step, and then it’s not too difficult.
Then, we learned that to be a Jedi Level networker we need to have the right attitude, which is focusing on helping people and when we do that referrals will flow.
Last week, we learned that we have to become the go to person in our profession and see the lion’s share of the leads, we have to build relationships, and we can accelerate the process by having a lot of 121s with our fellow members.
This week, I want to share my secret sauce of advanced networking, and that is that I move in the shadows and remain incognito.
Is that true?
No, but you would think it is given how many of us have incomplete profiles online, so your action item for this week is to review and update your profile on Elevate, NYC Global Connect and LinkedIn, and this includes a good photo of yourself.
And if you have an up to date profile with all of your current info, I not only guarantee that people will be able contact you when they need your services, I guarantee you’ll make more money.
