Make More Money Becoming The “Go To” Person In Your Profession

BNI Elevate is a networking community organized to help our members make more money through structured collaboration and referrals.

Recently we discussed that learning to network at the highest level, is kind of like learning how to solve a Rubik’s cube. We have to break it down step by step, and then it’s not too difficult.

Last week, we learned that to be a Jedi Level networker we need to have the right attitude, which is focusing on helping people and when we do that referrals will flow.

This week I want to congratulate not only our newest members but all of you.

You went through our extensive vetting process and you got in!

So what’s next?

Now that you’re a member of the premier networking group in Manhattan, you can just sit back and wait for the referrals to start rolling in, and take your checks to the bank.

But that’s not the way it works, is it?

Your fellow members need to get to know you; get to like you and get to trust you, and when these things happen, you’ll become go-to-person in your profession, and only then will you start getting referrals.

And make no mistake, it takes time to build relationships.

So your action item for today is to schedule ten 121s in the next month, and I not only guarantee that you’ll reduce the time it takes to become the go-to-person in your profession, I guarantee you’ll make more money.
