NYC Elevate is a networking community organized to help our members make more money through structured collaboration and referrals.
As Amy stated at the top of the meeting, I have renewed my membership in Elevate for the 11th time, and I started thinking about how the longevity of my membership has contributed to my success.
In that vein, this week I’ll be reporting my Q2 Closed Business Numbers attributed to Elevate and I wondered what percentage of that was from new referrals and what percentage was from recurring business that was originally referred to me over the last 11 years.
So my Q2 total for closed business is $XXX,XXX and the new business related to new referrals in Q2 was $XX,XXX or 10%.
That means that 90% of my closed business is attributed to a referral that happened in one of my first 10 years in Elevate.
The key takeaways here are ….
1. Building relationships and longevity matters much more than you can imagine
2. That you should have a way to service your clients for many years to increase the ROI on the hardest task in business – client acquisition.
If you do these things consistently for many years in a row, I guarantee that you will make more money.
