BNI Elevate is a million dollar a month, networking community organized to help our members make more money through structured collaboration and referrals.
Remember, Elevate is all about relationship marketing.
That means your fellow members need to get to know you, like you and trust you, and only after that occurs will you get referrals.
And the best method we have for building relationships at Elevate are 121s, so in the coming weeks I’m going to give you some tactics to improve your 121s.
In the past 13 years of having 121s with all of you, I’ve never really thought about Venn Diagrams and how important they can be for your bank account, so I’ve come full circle.
Recently on a 121 with Elissa Bauxbaum, our Diversity Equality and Inclusion Consultant, and I was struggling to think who I could refer her to.
But somehow my neurons connected and I had an idea that my clients that buy Accessible ADA Compliant Websites for visually impaired people are probably also sensitive to DEI issues.
On the flip side, we discussed that anyone hiring her should not be ignoring the accessibility of their websites. Otherwise, they would be falling short on their DEI initiatives by failing to properly serve their visually impaired clients and employees.
And that’s when the visual of a Venn Diagram hit me, and I clearly saw the overlap between her client base and mine.
So when you are having 121s, each of you should think of your respective client bases and where they overlap because that’s your true referral gold mine with other members.
If you adopt this tactic on your 121s, I guarantee that the Venn Diagram of your bank account will overlap with making more money.
