BNI Elevate is a networking community organized to help our members make more money through structured collaboration and referrals.
In the past few weeks, we learned that we are sitting on a gold mine here at Elevate.
We learned that we can’t just stare at the dirt and hope gold ends up in our pocket.
We learned that we need to set goals for our gold mine to make sure we expend the right effort to ensure a proper return on investment.
We learned that we become the ‘go to’ person in our profession by building relationships over time.
So now you’re at the point where you want to pick the approach that will work best for you here at Elevate.
The first approach is to come to our meeting every week; do a few 121s and then wait for referrals to arrive. This method isn’t quite staring at the dirt, but you aren’t moving the tonnage required to make millions.
And there’s nothing wrong with this approach if you’re really busy and you’re happy with the amount of money that you are making at Elevate because some nuggets will land in your lap.
But if you would like to be busier and you would like to make more money here at Elevate, you will need an alternate approach.
The good news is that we give you all the tools you need to be successful with this alternate approach, so pay attention to the tactics that I’ll be discussing during these segments in the coming weeks.
But before we get there, we have to understand that there is one important roadblock to be aware of and that’s fear.
Most people will use the first, more passive approach, not because they are happy with their return on investment here at Elevate, but because they fear they will fail.
So if you’d like to make more money at Elevate, then you will need to resolve yourself to act despite your fear because the reality is that failure doesn’t even exist.
And understand that if you don’t do something correctly the first time or the tenth time that’s called “learning lessons.”
