Perception is everything.
We think that bad children will get a lump of coal in their stocking as a punishment for being bad in the past year.
But what if I told you that getting a lump of coal was actually a really good gift and a blessing?
Back in the day, if you were really poor, a child getting a lump of coal meant that they could help the family with another night of heat in the winter, or it meant having one more warm, cooked meal.
So how does that help us at Elevate?
Sometimes we perceive the things we need to do in networking to be burdens when actually doing a few extra things will be the difference between being hungry for leads and a full belly of referrals and it will be the difference between the cold feeling of zero sales and the warmth of more money in your bank account.
Is my lump of coal story true? It doesn’t matter if we perceive it to be true and act accordingly.
So make a resolution for the coming new year to flip the networking script in your head and treat all of the little things we need to do in networking in the most positive way, and I guarantee that you will get more referrals and make more money.
